Videobolt

Throughout 2021, I worked with a video marktech startup in an advisory capacity. During that time, the company doubled its MoM revenue growth, among other factors, due to a redesign that increased organic traffic by 276%.
Background
Videobolt enables people without technical or creative skills to produce marketing videos with high production value. It’s a library of 2800+ premium After Effects templates that can be customised and branded by filling a web form.
Before
The company had previously secured seed funding on the back of promising traction and commercial pilots with notable companies. A year after the investment, the growth rate had started slowing down, and the revenue was coming from several different types of customers, making the path to Series A unclear.

The executive team brought me on board as an advisor to hone the strategy, improve the product, and identify growth opportunities.


After
Unlike typical advisory roles, we agreed on a hands-on approach. Apart from the initial deep-dives and per-need update meetings, I spent most of the available time investigating, demonstrating how to improve product operations, and producing critical pieces of UX+UI redesign.
